Rooted in nature,
guided by nourishment
How a passion for women's wellness became Australia's most-loved seed cycling ritual.
"The Seed Cycle started because Mel couldn't find a way to do seed cycling that actually fit into a normal day. So she built one — and it turns out a lot of other women had the exact same problem."
Functional nutrition
with a lightbulb moment
Mel discovered seed cycling through her nutrition research and loved the simplicity — four seeds, two phases, aligned with the natural rhythm of the cycle. She started doing it herself, noticed a difference, and so did the women she shared it with.
But nobody could keep it up. Sourcing seeds, keeping them fresh, remembering which phase — it was just enough friction to make most people quit after a few weeks. That is where the idea started. What if the hard part was already done for you?
"What if this nourishing ritual could be made easy, consistent, and ready to go?"Mel Kovacevic — Founder, The Seed Cycle

What we stand for
Food first, always
We believe the most powerful wellness tools are the ones you can eat. Our blends are whole foods — nothing extracted, nothing synthetic. Just four seeds, cold-milled and fresh.
Consistency over perfection
We designed The Seed Cycle to remove every barrier to showing up daily. Pre-measured. Pre-blended. Delivered to your door. Because a habit you can keep beats a perfect protocol you can't.
Transparency in everything
We are honest about the research, the limitations, and what seed cycling can and cannot do. We share the science, the practitioner evidence, and the real stories — without overclaiming.
Independently tested.
Nothing to hide.
We test our seeds through a NATA-accredited laboratory for heavy metals. Most seeds on supermarket shelves are never tested at all. Here are our actual results — and how they compare.

TestedWhy does this matter if you're doing seed cycling yourself?
When you buy seeds from a supermarket or bulk store, they're almost never tested for heavy metals. Published research consistently finds cadmium levels in off-the-shelf flaxseeds and sunflower seeds that are significantly higher than what we've measured in ours. Seeds naturally absorb metals from the soil they grow in — and without testing, there's simply no way to know what you're getting. We take the guesswork out of it.
About our testing
Testing conducted by Symbio Laboratories (Brisbane), NATA-accredited and certified to ISO/IEC 17025. Analysis method: Acid Extractable Elements by ICPMS (APHA 3125B). Safe limits for cadmium and lead reference EU Regulation 2023/915 maximum levels for oilseeds. Mercury safe limit references EU maximum levels for oilseeds and oil fruits. Arsenic has no seed-specific regulatory limit; typical values shown are from published research. All values in mg/kg.

Melissa Kovacevic —
the woman behind
the seeds
Mel is a mum of two based in Canberra with a background in functional nutrition and EFT Tapping. She started The Seed Cycle because she saw how many women wanted to try seed cycling but couldn't keep it consistent — so she made it simple.
In 2024 she published Seeds of Sisterhood, an Amazon number one bestseller. Her approach has always been the same: make good habits accessible. Not perfect. Just consistent.
