When do I start seed cycling?

The Seed Cycle Phase 1 is taken from day 1-14 of your cycle and The Seed Cycle Phase 2 is taken from day 15-28.

You can start seed cycling at any time – meaning you don’t have to wait until a specific day to begin with the seed blends.

For example - If you are on day 5 of your cycle, you would take Phase 1 blend for the next 9 days and then move onto Phase 2. Continue taking Phase 2, until switching back to Phase 1 on the first day of your next cycle (which is day 1 of your period).

If your period is irregular or absent, you can follow the lunar moon calendar & cycle starting with Phase 1 on a New Moon and Phase 2 on a Full Moon.

More about The Seed Cycle seed blends

The Seed Cycle Phase 1

Crafted using organic pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds, this blend delivers a powerful dose of Omega 3 fatty acids and essential nutrients including zinc and selenium.

Together, these seeds naturally support healthy hormone levels. Plus this blend provides a great source of fiber and lignans which foster healthy estrogen metabolism and may prevent estrogen dominance.

Ideal for women during the Follicular phase of their cycle.

The pumpkin seeds and flaxseeds contained in this blend may be beneficial for women experiencing PCOS and may lower the occurrence of excess hair growth and acne. Plus, these seeds can assist with premenstrual breast tenderness.

How to use:

From day 1 to day 14 of your cycle, add 1 scoop (two tablespoons) of this blend to your morning smoothie, yoghurt bowl, porridge or even your salads and soups.

Alternatively, if you follow the lunar calendar, start taking this blend on the first day of a new moon.

The Seed Cycle Phase 2

A curated mix of both sesame seeds and sunflower seeds, this blend naturally supports healthy hormone balance. Each seed is brimming with lignans and Omega 6 fatty acids that work together to keep our estrogen levels in check. Plus, the sunflower seeds in this blend deliver a great source of selenium and Vitamin E which may assist with liver detoxification.

Our Phase 2 Blend is perfect for women during the Luteal phase of their cycle. These seeds are rich in Vitamin E, playing a big role in balancing our nervous and endocrine system to restore optimal hormone levels in the body.

How to use:

From day 15 to day 28 of your cycle, add 1 scoop (two tablespoons) of this blend to your morning smoothie, yoghurt bowl, porridge or even your salads and soups.

Alternatively, if you follow the lunar calendar, start taking this blend on the first day of a full moon.

What if I have lost my period or have irregular periods?

Always start by consulting with your health practitioner if you are suffering from amenorrhea (no period) or if they are irregular. If seed cycling is right for you and your circumstances, you can start cycling using the moon phases.

Seed cycling using the moon phases

Historical studies over time have shown that the lunar calendar (moon phases) can be used to regulate a woman’s’ cycle and that the moon’s influence on our bodies can include things such as promoting the release of neurohormones, sex hormones and melatonin.

For menopausal and postmenopausal women or women without a regular menstrual cycle, it’s recommended to use the phases of the moon as a guide to cycle dates.

Rather than commencing our signature Phase 1 on the first day of your menstrual cycle, seed cycling can commence on the first day of a new moon cycle (lunar cycle). You would switch to Phase 2 on a full moon and continue consuming the blend until the next new moon.

How do I seed cycle if my cycle is not 28 days?

If you are seed cycling with your natural cycle, you may find that your cycle is longer or shorter than 28 days. That is completely normal. If your cycle is shorter you can start on the next phase on the first day of your period. If your cycle is longer you will await your next cycle, then on the first day of your period you start Phase 1.
