Phase App Privacy Policy
Effective date: 30 April 2026
The Seed Cycle ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Phase by The Seed Cycle iOS application ("the App") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling your information transparently and minimally.

Quick summary
- The App stores your cycle data locally on your device only we don't have a server that holds your period dates, journal entries, or cycle history.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- The App does not collect device IDs, advertising IDs, location, or analytics.
- The only personal data that ever leaves your device is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter.
- The App can optionally read data from Apple Health (steps, sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate) to enrich your cycle insights — this data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
1. What information the App handles
Cycle data (period dates, cycle length, journal entries, ritual logs, settings)
This data is stored only on your iPhone, in the app's local storage. It never leaves your device and we have no way to access it. If you delete the App, this data is permanently removed.
Apple Health data (optional)
If you grant permission via the iOS HealthKit dialog, the App reads the following metrics from Apple Health to display alongside your cycle phase:
- Step count
- Sleep duration
- Heart rate variability
- Resting heart rate
This data stays on your device. The App never transmits Apple Health data to our servers or to any third party. You can revoke this permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Phase by The Seed Cycle.
The App does not write any data to Apple Health.
Email address (optional, only if you subscribe)
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter via the email signup form inside the App, your email address is sent to our marketing platform, Klaviyo. We use this only to send you newsletters, recipes, cycle education content, and occasional product offers from The Seed Cycle.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send.
If you don't subscribe, we never collect your email address.
2. What we don't do
The Phase iOS app does not:
- Collect your name, date of birth, address, phone number, or any government-issued IDs
- Use third-party advertising SDKs or tracking pixels
- Set tracking cookies inside the App
- Use the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA)
- Share your data with data brokers
- Sell your data to anyone, ever
- Track you across other apps or websites
- Use third-party analytics tools to monitor your behaviour
Because the App does not track users across other apps or websites, the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is not shown.

We carefully chose Klaviyo because they comply with global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, the Australian Privacy Act). They do not use your data for cross-app advertising.
4. How we differ between web and app
The Seed Cycle website (theseedcycle.au) and the linked PWA (seedcycleapp.netlify.app) use additional tools, including Klaviyo's onsite analytics and consented Shopify cookies, for the e-commerce experience.
The Phase iOS app does NOT use any of these. When the App detects it is running inside the iOS environment, it disables all third-party tracking scripts, locally bundles all fonts, and transmits no usage or analytics data. Your in-app activity is private to your device.
5. Your rights and choices
You have the right to:
- Stop using the App at any time — uninstalling it permanently removes all your cycle data
- Revoke Apple Health access — iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Phase by The Seed Cycle
- Unsubscribe from our emails — via the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing hello@theseedcycle.com.au
- Request deletion of your email address from our marketing list — email hello@theseedcycle.com.au and we will remove you within 30 days
- Ask what email-related data we hold about you — email hello@theseedcycle.com.au and we will respond within 30 days
If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Children's privacy
The App is intended for women aged 18 and over who are tracking their menstrual cycle. The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
7. Security
Email addresses submitted to our newsletter are transmitted over HTTPS and stored by Klaviyo in encrypted form on their servers. Cycle data and Apple Health data never leave your device, so no transmission security applies — they are protected by iOS's own data-at-rest encryption.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect changes in how the App works or to comply with new regulations. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email to subscribers.

I have been seed cycling for about 12 months now and I don’t miss a day! The noticeable difference it has made helping my hormones and hormonal rosacea is amazing! I’m in no hurry to stop and will keep going all the way to menopause (when it comes) and out the other side.if you’re not sure just give it a try!
Seed cycling has been a game changer for me. I suffered hormonal migraines for over 15 years. Every period 3-4 day migraine from hell, I hated my period because of all the discomfort, pain and misery it would bring. And nothing and no one seemed to be able to provide relief or solutions. I have been seed cycling for about a year and a half now and in that time I have gone from having headaches every month to almost none. I went off the pill a year ago and was struggling with irregular cycles since. I got diagnosed with PCOS after the year and starting seed cycling. On my third month of using the seed cycle I got a period under 35 days and on my fourth month of using the seed cycle we got pregnant.
I can’t believe how well the seed cycle worked for me. I don’t think I would’ve gotten pregnant without it!
I enjoy adding this to my daily smoothie knowing I'm getting lots of good stuff in one go. I do find it on the sweeter side so am hoping there might be a sugar free option in future. Customer service is amazing, sent me a scoop as soon as I mentioned I hadn't received one. They seem to really care about their customers and feedback.

Having a batch of cookies and brownies in the freezer ready to munch on when I haven't managed to use the protein makes it so much easier to be consistent in getting my seeds in. Undercooked brownies straight from the freezer is delish!!
